Stay warm! -5th Grade Team We are currently learning about electromagnetism. This last week we reviewed the basic properties of magnets and how they work, discovered an electrical current creates a magnetic field and built an electromagnet!
For more information on this topic, check out the following websites: http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/videos/physics/magnets.html http://science.howstuffworks.com/electromagnet.htm http://www.dkfindout.com/us/science/magnets/electromagnets/ We will continue to discover what can change the strength of an electromagnet and use evidence from our activities to write an explanation of how a junkyard magnet works. |
